The Magnification of a Telescope calculator compute the magnification of a telescope based on the focal lengths of the primary mirror or lens and the eyepiece.
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:
- (Fp) This is the focal length of the primary lens or mirror.
- (Fe) This is the focal length of the eyepiece.
Magnification: The calculator return the magnification of the telescope.
General Information
The magnification power M of a telescope is the ratio of the focal length of the primary lens or mirror FP divided by the focal length of the eyepiece Fe.
