The Euros per Liter to Dollars per Gallon calculator computes the price of liquid (e.g. gasoline) in U.S. dollars per gallon based on the entered price of Euros per Litre.
INSTRUCTIONS: Enter the following:
 (PPL) Price per Litre (Euros)
Dollars per Gallon (PPG): The calculator returns the price per gallon in U.S. dollars (USD/gal). The calculator also returns:
 (GBP/L) Great Britain Pound Sterling per Liter
 (CAD/L) Canadian dollars per liter and
 (MXN/L) Mexican Pesos per liter.

The Math / Science
Are you used to seeing your gasoline prices in dollars per gallon, but now you're in the European Union. You have two things to consider. In the E.U., they sell their gasoline (petrol) by the litre and in Euros. To make the conversion, you have to know how many litres are in a gallon, and the current exchange rate. This calculator does that for you.
Exchange Rate

$1.00 = €0.942 EUR

€1.00 = $1.061 USD

The formula to convert Euros per Liter to U.S. Dollars per Gallon is:
`DPG = EPL * (3.7854 " Liters")/(1.0 " U.S. Gallons") * ($1.0 " USD")/( "€ 0.942 EUR")`
where:
 DPG = Dollars per Gallon
 EPL = Euros per Liter
Note: The Euros per Dollar constantly changes. This calculator has updated exchange rates every two minutes The Euros per Dollar at the current exchange rate is (€0.942 EUR = $1 USD)
