The **Density of a Cylinder** calculator computes the mean density (ρ) of a cylinder based on the mass (m), height (h) and radius (r). **NOTE: NEW DEFAULT INPUT UNITS (millimeters and grams)**

**Density of a Cylinder (ρ):** The calculator returns the mean density (ρ) of the cylinder in kilograms per cubic meter. However, this can be automatically converted to other volumetric density units (e.g. ounce per cubic inch) via the pull-down menu. The calculator also returns the volume in liters, which can also be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

Density is the ratio of mass to volume. The formula for density is:

- ρ is the density of the cylinder
- m is the mass of the cylinder
- r is the radius of the cylinder
- h is the height of the cylinder

In this case, the radius (r) and height (h) are used to compute the volume of the cylinder (V = π•r²•h).
