The Concrete Needed for a Foundation calculator computes the volume of concrete in a poured rectangular foundation (e.g. the foundation under a rectangular house/building).

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose your preferred units and enter the following:

(L) Length of the foundation

(W) Width of the foundation

(H) Height of the foundation walls.

(T) The thickness of the foundation walls.

(units) SYSTEM is the default for cubic yards. (See Alternative Units)

Volume: The volume of concrete is returned in cubic yards. However, this can be automatically converted to other volume units (e.g. cubic meters) via the pull-down menu.

Alternative Units

For the DIY crowd. The calculator also computes the amount of concrete in different sizes of bags. The output is in volume units (cubic yards as a default) but can be converted to any of the following choices:
