`D = 2* "bS" / "rpm" `

Enter a value for all fields

The **Pulley Diameter** calculator computes the diameter of a pulley based on the speed at which a linear length of belt travels around the pulley and the rotation rate (R).*Belt*

**INSTRUCTIONS:** Choose units and enter the following:

- (
**bS**) Linear belt speed. - (
**rpm**) Rotation Rate of the pulley

**Pulley Diameter (D):** The calculator computes the pulley diameter in feet. However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

The formula for the speed of the belt is:

D = 2• BS/RPM

where:

- BS is the Belt Speed
- D is the diameter of the pulley
- RPM is the rotation rate (rpms) of the pulley
