The **Cost of Play Sand** calculator computes the price of a volume (V) of play sand.

**INSTRUCTIONS:** Choose units and enter the following:

- (
**V**) Volume of play sand (e.g. 4 cubic feet) - (
**uP**) Unit price of a cubic foot of play sand (see Unit Pricing below). This is typically the price of two bags of play sand.

**Total Cost of Play Sand (TC):** The calculator returns the total cost in U.S. dollars. However, this can be automatically converted to other currency units via the pull-down menu.

One should always use local pricing when available. Typically a bag of play sand is 1/2 a cubic foot, so twice the price will give you the local unit price for a cubic foot of play sand. However, for convenience, vCalc performs a periodic survey of commodities such as play sand. The most recent play sand survey was as follows:
