The **Change in Length due to Strain **calculator computes the change in length based on an original length and a strain factor.

Strain is the deformation of a solid due to stress. Engineering stress is defined in terms of the change in length of a physical element (`Delta L`)divided by the original length of the physical element (`L_0`).

The formula for the deformation in change of length caused by strain:

ΔL = L • ε

where:

- ΔL is the change in elongation from strain.
- ε is strain
- L is the initial length
