`r = sqrt( "v" /(pi * "h" ))`

Enter a value for all fields

The **Radius of a Cylinder** calculator computes the radius of a right circular cylinder from the height (h) and volume (V) (see diagram).

**INSTRUCTIONS:** Choose units and enter the following:

- (
**V**) This is the volume of the cylinder - (
**h**) This is the height of the cylinder

**Radius (r):** The calculator returns the radius in meters. However, this can be automatically converted to many other length units (e.g. inches) via the pull-down menu.

The formula for the radius of a cylinder is:

`r = sqrt(V/(π*h))`

where:

- r is the radius of the cylinder
- V is the Volume of a Cylinder
- h is the height of the cylinder
