Yes, vCalc is aware that mass and weight are two different things. One refers to the amount of matter and the other refers to the downward force created by an amount of matter within a specified gravity field.

NONETHELESS, most of us live on the surface of Planet Earth where we can make some basic assumptions about the gravity field and reasonably interchange mass and weight units. For the record, mass is far more accurate and tends to be in the metric system which is FAR SUPERIOR.
