The Math / Science

According to the Iowa Corn, a bushel of corn can produce enough feed to mature and harvest 21.6 pounds of poultry (chicken), 15.6 pounds of pork or 8 pounds of beef.  It can also produce 17 pounds of animal feed, 2.8 gallons of ethanol and 0.6 pounds of corn oil.  This calculator computes:

  • How much chicken(poultry) can be harvested based an amount of corn.
  • How much beef can be harvested based an amount of corn.
  • How much pork can be harvested based an amount of corn.
  • How much livestock feed can be harvested based an amount of corn.
  • How much ethanol can be produced based an amount of corn.
  • How much corn oil can be produced based an amount of corn.
