A Gable Roof is a basic roof structure with rectangular sloped faces and triangular ends. A typical gabled roof is defined by a ridge length, span, overhang and pitch. Based on these simple dimensions, it is possible to accurately compute the surface area of the roof and the length of trim for the ridge, facia and gable edges.
