Basket Making Directions with Attached Lining:

• Supplies
  • 2 pieces of outer fabric cut to size a, b, and c
  • 2 pieces of lining fabric cut to size a, b, and c
  • 2 pieces of interfacing cut to size a, b, and c
  • 2 pieces for handle
• Instructions
  1. Cut fabric, lining and interfacing based on dimensions a, b, and c
  2. Cut fabric for handle
  3. Attach interfacing to wrong side of outer fabric and handle
  4. with right sides together, sew outer fabric pieces together along the bottom (where cutouts are)
  5. with right sides together, sew lining pieces together along the bottom (where cutouts are)
  6. Attach handles to OUTSIDE of outer fabric (use location provided in equation results)
  7. With right sides together, sew outer fabric  to lining along the top edge (match lining to lining and outer fabric to outer fabric)
  8. with right sides together, stitch outer fabric pieces together along side seams
  9. press seam open and topstitch
  10. flip right side out
  11. box bottom (match bottom seam to side seam and stitch the diagonal)
  12. flip and stitch boxed bottom on lining side
  13. topstitch top edge
