The **Volume of a Footer using the Cross-Section Area** calculator computes the volume of concrete in a footer based on the length and cross-section area.

**INSTRUCTIONS**: Choose units and enter the following:

**A**) cross section area.

**Concrete Volume (V): **The volume is returned in cubic yards and the equivalent in 80lb and 60lb bags. Note: vCalc provides automatic conversions into many other volume units such as cubic meters and feet.

The formula for the volume of a footer based on length and cross-section area is:

V = A ⋅ l

where:

- V = volume of the footer
- A = Cross-section area
- l = length of the footer.
