`h = (2* "A" )/ "b" `

Enter a value for all fields

The **Height of a Triangle** (h = 2A/b) calculator computes the height(h) of a triangle based on the Area (A) and the base (b).

**INSTRUCTIONS**: Choose units, and enter the following:

- (
**A**) area of the triangle - (
**b**) length of the base of the triangle

**Triangle Height (h): **The calculator returns the height (**h**) of the triangle in meters. However this can be automatically converted to other length units (e.g. inches) via the pull-down menu.

The formula for the height of a triangle is:

h = 2A / b

where

- h is the height of the triangle
- A is the area of the triangle
- b is the length of the base of the triangle.

This equations is useful in a wide range of areas from school math to calculating the surface area of any triangle in any industry or hobby.

- Area of a triangle base on the base and height
- Area of a triangle using two sides and the interior angle.
- Area of a triangle using two angles and the interior side.
- Area of a triangle using three known sides.
- Area of a triangle defined by three points (x,y) in a plane.
- Height of a triangle based on the area and base
- Interior Angle of a triangle based on the length of three sides
- Semi-perimeter of a triangle
- Area between two vectors
