The Math / Science

The Trapezium Area equation computes the area of a trapezium, which is a quadrilateral (4 sided polygon) where one side is horizontal (a).  The formula for the area of a trapezium is:

`A = ((h+k)*f + g*h + e*k)/2`

where:

• A = Area of Trapezium
• h and k = Vertical Heights
• g, f and e = Segment Lengths of Base
