The **Time for Units** calculator computes the period of time (**T**) needed to produce or consume a certain number (**X**) units based on the time to produce or consume (**P**) a designated number of units (**N**).

**INSTRUCTIONS:** Choose your preferred units and enter the following:

**X**) This is the total number of units you wish to processes (Produce or Consume). - (
**N**) This is the**N**umber of units produced or consumed in the Unit Period (e.g. 3,800 apples picked per week) - (
**P**) This is the unit**P**eriod or duration, which is the time span to process one unit amount (e.g. one week to pick 3,800 apples)

**Time to Process:**) This is the period of **T**ime for the production or consumption of the units. Time is returned in hours. However, this can be automatically converted to other time units (e.g. days or weeks) via the pull-down menu.

Production and consumption of materials over time can be estimated or measured based on the average production or consumption rate of a unit. This calculator uses a known unit production rate (e.g. 6 marbles in 20 seconds) to compute the total amount of time needed to produce a different number of units (e.g. 10,000 marbles).
