The **Volume of Concrete in a Footer** calculator computes the volume of concrete in a complete rectangular footer (e.g. the footer under a rectangular house/building) based on the length and width of overall foot print and the depth and width of the footer channel (see diagram).

**INSTRUCTIONS:** Choose units and enter the following:

**L**) Footer Area Length - (
**W**) Footer Area Width - (
**D**) Footer Depth - (
**T**) Footer Channel Width

**Volume of Concrete (V):** The volume of concrete (**V**) needed for the footer is returned in cubic yards. However, this can be automatically converted into other volume units (e.g. cubic meters) via the pull-down menu. The calculator also returns the equivalent volume in bags of concrete:

**Note:** It is important to remember that the length and width of the footer are more than the length and width of the foundation.
