The Class Relative Frequency calculator computes the frequency of a class based on the number of observations in the class (class frequency) and the total number of observations (n).

INSTRUCTIONS: Enter the following:

• (CF) Class Frequency
• (n) Total Number of Observations

Class Relative Frequency (CRF): The frequency is returned as a real number.

The Math / Science

The number of occurrences of a class of items in a population can be counted, and the ratio of that number verses the total number of observations is the Class Relative Frequency.

The formula for Class Relative Frequency is:

CRF = CF / n

where:

• CRF = Class Relative Frequency
• CF = Class Frequency
• n = Total Number of Observations
