Enter a value for all fields

The **Weight Correction for a Diamond** calculator compute the approximate weight adjustment in a percentage for diamonds based on mean diameter of the diamond and girdle thickness. The range of the adjustment is between 0% (wc = 1.0) and 12% (wc = 1.12).

**INSTRUCTONS**: Choose units and enter the following:

- (
**MD**) Mean Diameter - (
**GT**) Girdle Thickness

**Diamond Weight Correction Factor (wc): **The calculator returns the correction factor as a real number.

The girdle thickness is subjective based on the experience of the jeweler. The values are:

- Thin-Medium
- Slightly Thick
- Thick
- Very Thick
- Extremely Thick

The Mean Diameter is the sum of the two face dimensions (H and V in the drawing) divided by 2.
