Thermodynamics is a sub-domain of Physics concerned with heat  and temperature and their relation to energy and work. Key definitions of temperature, internal energy, entropy, and pressure, which characterize materials and radiation, are define in Thermodynamics. Thermodynamics laws can be derived from statistical mechanics.
