This equation computes your composite Grade Point Average (GPA) based on a list of grades achieved in classes of a specified number of units.  This equation grabs the grades, specified as A through F.  So, to use this equation it must be customized to grab the grades and class units from your database.  The database's UUID must be added to the input enumerated list.

Grades have been traditionally scored as A though F in the US School systems and this equation relies on that standard grading system. The grades are allocated points on a 0.0 through 4.0 scale, where:

• A  = 4.0 grade points per unit
• A- = 3.7 grade points per unit
• B+ = 3.3 grade points per unit
• B  = 3.0 grade points per unit
• B- = 2.7 grade points per unit
• C+ = 2.3 grade points per unit
• C  = 2.0 grade points per unit
• C- = 1.7 grade points per unit
• D+ = 1.3 grade points per unit
• D  = 1.0 grade points per unit
• D- = 0.7 grade points per unit
• F  = 0.0 grade points per unit
