The Board Feet calculator computes the board feet (BF) of a number of measured boards.

Board Feet (BF): the calculator return the value in feet.
Board footage is a common measurement of volume for most lumber items. It is nominally defined as a piece of lumber one inch thick by one foot wide by one foot long -- or its equivalent in cubic feet.
Board footage is calculated by multiplying the thickness (t) by the width (w) with the length (l) to get the total volume of the board and then dividing that volume by the standard BF. The results of this equation are number of BF.
`"BF"_"tot". = (t * w * l) / "BF"_"std"`
EXAMPLE 1: The measurement of board footage is not dependent solely upon length. A board which is 2 inches thick by six inches wide has the same board footage per foot as does a 1 inch by 12 inch board.
EXAMPLE 2: Charley buys a 12 foot board measuring 1inch by 12 inches in cross section. He finds he has exactly 12 BF.
`"BF"_"tot" = 1 "in" * 12 "in" * 12 "ft" = 12 "BF"`
