Carpet tiles are square pieces of carpeting that one can buy in boxes.  They often have a lite adhesive back and are easy to install.  This table has the price history for carpet tiles with the following factors:

  1. Date - This is the day that the pricing was recorded based on a nationally (U.S.) advertised prices
  2. Store - This is the retailer selling the products
  3. Economy - This is the lowest observed unit price.
  4. Low - This is a low price observed with any frequency, meaning there are multiple products at this price
  5. Mid - This is the mid price which is both common and close to the average prices observed in the survey.
  6. High - This is the high price observed with any frequency, meaning there are multiple products at this price.
  7. Premium - This is the highest price observed

Note: The prices are in dollars (U.S.) per square feet (ft2).  The initial survey showed the Premium carpet tiles to have promotional images for sports teams (football etc).

Sizes

This tile sizes observed include:

  • 18"x18" which come in boxes of 10, 16, and 20
  • 19.7" x 19.7" which typically come in boxes of 20
  • 24" x 24" which typically come in boxes of 10

Stores

The Ceramic Tile Pricing table holds the history (survey) of the price of ceramic tiles in U.S. dollars surveyed from nationally advertised retailers (e.g. Lowe's and Home Depot).  The information in this table is updated every two months.  This is a consumer based survey with no information or influence provided by the retail companies outside of that provided on their web sites.
