The Sub-flooring Cost calculator computes the number of 4x8 sheets (e.g. plywood or OSB) required for a floor, sub-floor or deck, and uses the unit price of a 4x8 sheet to compute the cost estimate.

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose your preferred units (e.g. feet or meters) and enter the following:

• (w) Width of the flooring area
• (l) Length of the flooring area
• (uP)  The unit price of a 4x8 sheet of sub-flooring material

Total Cost: The calculator will then compute the total cost of sub-flooring boards in U.S. dollars.  However, this can be automatically converted to other currency units via the pull-down menu.

#### Unit Pricing: Recent Plywood Pricing Survey

You should always use the local unit pricing for the plywood or OSB.  However, vCalc periodically goes to the web and surveys the online price of materials including plywood.  The pricing comes from national DIY providers like Home Depot and Lowe's.   The  most recent survey results from the Plywood Pricing Survey is as follows:

• Survey Date: 2/9/18
• Survey Store: Home Depot
• 4x8 3/4" Plywood: $37.58 USD • 4x8 5/8" Plywood:$26.77 USD
• 4x8 3/4" Pressure Treated Plywood: $30.97 USD • 4x8 1/2" Pressure Treated Plywood:$31.47 USD
