The **Emerald Cut Diamond Weight** calculator computes the approximate carat weight of an Emerald Cut shaped diamond based on the vertical and horizontal widths, the depth and a girdle thickness factor.

**INSTRUCTIONS:** Choose units and enter the following:

- (
**L**) This is the Vertical Length - (
**W**) This is the Horizontal Width - (
**D**) This is the Depth - (
**GTF**) Choose a Girdle Thickness Factor

**Emerald Cut Diamond Carat Weight (Wt):** The calculator returns weight of the diamond in carats. However, this can be automatically converted to other weight units (e.g. grams) via the pull-down menu.

**Girdle Thickness Factor**: The user must enter a thickness factor for the diamond's girdle ranging from: Slightly Thick,Thick,Very Thick, to Extremely Thick. This is used to calculate the weight correction (wc) factor. See Diamond - Weight Correction equation.
