The Grape Crop Yield estimation calculator computes the estimated tons per acre of grapes based on the vines per acre, shoots per vine, clusters per shoot and the average cluster weight.

The Math / Science

To properly estimate the yield of a grape crop, one should have:

1. statistically accurate estimate of the weigh of a typical cluster at harvest time in your area.
2. a good count of vines per acre or block
3. a statistically accurate estimate of the mean clusters per vine.

Considerations should include flowers per cluster and berries per flower, seeds per berry and weight of the fruit.
