The Time as a function of change in velocity, friction and gravity calculator  computes time required to change velocity from v₀ to v_b due to friction (coefficient μ_k) under the downward acceleration due to gravity (g).  

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

• (v₀)  Initial Velocity.
• (v_b) Final Velocity.
• (μ_k) Friction Coefficient
• (g) Acceleration due to gravity (nominally 9.8 m/s²)

Time from Δv, friction and acceleration due to gravity (Δt): The calculator returns the time in seconds.  However this can be automatically converted in to numerous other time units via the pull-down menu.
